It has not been exposed to direct sunlight and has not been washed in aggressive detergents. They didn't even wash it that hard. It seemed that only the light from the window did it. So I ordered another one. It came with no tea-stained background and had a bleached print. It doesn't match the extra small quilt of the same design that I bought to sit at the foot of the bed. And it doesn't match the bed skirt. Very disappointed. Now it doesn't look vintage anymore. Update later. Due to the slight white cast, it continues to fade strongly and is not in direct sunlight. Looks pretty bad and I'm hesitant to buy a replacement. I'm so glad I found this blanket. That's exactly what I wanted. It looks like a real antique with a tea stained background. Pink flowers are deep and bright with sage-olive green leaves. There are also some small blue flowers. It doesn't look tasteless or cheap. In addition, it is reversible in a stripe pattern. If you look closely, you can see a pattern in the form of stripes, the same as on the baseboard. The stripe pattern can also be found on the back of the overlays. However, the skirt and the back of the overlays are made of thin material. There is a heavy fabric in the blanket. Tie the left side of the capes with two ribbons. It goes great with my four poster bed and antiques. I was torn between colors and stripes, so I ended up buying a small blanket that I placed at the foot of the bed to enjoy both patterns. In terms of comfort, it is a medium weight, which is also ideal for summer. I added a blanket for this winter. Honestly, this is my favorite blanket of my life. Too bad I didn't have money to buy a replacement.
