I intentionally lengthened the Category 6 cable to the maximum recommended length to see how this product performs. Let's just say after reading some very bad reviews. I have come to the conclusion that either I have another version of this product or these people do not know how to use this product. For actual use I made a 40ft TIA568b Category 6 cable as per the instructions on the box and the description on the Revain website. For reference I used a SouthWire vertical Cat6 cable with Central Electric crimping heads for Cat6. Finally, make sure that when connecting Cat6 to the HDMI connector, you connect the TX connector on the side you are sending the video from. On the other end of the Cat6, install an RX connector to which you will connect the output display device. In my case I connected the RX side to a Viewsonic projector and the transmit side to my Onkyo HDMI receiver. This allows me to split inputs from HDMI devices (Roku, cable box, Blu-ray player, laptop) to a projector and TV. This simple set of HDMI Cat6 connectors allows me to use a small cable (1/4β³) for video transmission compared to the standard HDMI cable (1/2β³) that runs down my living room ceiling.
