My cutlery has never looked better! I have a tiny eat-in kitchen with very shallow, short drawers - in fact, those are the only drawers in the entire kitchen! Although the utensil holder I used before is actually larger, this OXO holds a lot more and keeps things in place; even different cutlery sizes/styles as I have some items from other sets that I enjoy and use often due to the sentimental value. Thick knife handles? No problem! Four different kinds of teaspoons? Just put them in there! I adjusted the easy-to-move dividers for a perfect custom fit. I also use this item with an extra pulled out drawer for the rest of the little things. At 9.75 inches grey, expanding to a full 16.75 inches, it has enough storage space to open up pretty much another drawer in my kitchen, so this thing definitely delivers when it comes to organization. Also, I didn't realize how much my other dish rack was moving in the drawer. OXO is firmly in place, so rubber feet will always be indispensable for any dish tray in the future. I also bought one of these for my parents and they love theirs too and they can be pretty picky about kitchen items. I think in an ideal world they would prefer it in white/off-white but the gray stays cleaner so I was a little hesitant about the color at first too but it's handy nonetheless. Outstanding quality you've come to expect from OXO and if you hesitate, don't hesitate; You may not like emptying the dishwasher, but it makes the process more convenient.
