UPDATE: I can now recommend this product. Philips has released a new firmware update that has changed the play/pause function to a long press. It no longer constantly pauses when I go about my normal activities. Also, I found a third party company that sells foam ear tips that fit these headphones. Now they won't fall out of my ear. Yes, they're an extra cost and you'll have to replace them every few months (they get dirty over time), but they make them perfect. Overall, after the firmware update and the new foam tips, I can say that I am happy with this product and would recommend it. You might not need them but at least a firmware update is a must, you can update it with your phone in just a few minutes (I did this on an iPhone, I assume Android works the same way). I leave my previous review , because the positives remain, and if you have ears like mine (which I don't think are too big or too small), you may need to order new ear tips from a third party. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The Philips T8505 headphones sound great, there's no doubt about that. The bass sounds powerful and the noise canceling works great. The ability to toggle ambient sounds when you turn it on is another great feature that I love. The bad part is wearing them. First, none of the sleeves they offer give a tight fit. Not sure what it is, but out of all the headphones I've had (from different manufacturers), these never want to stay in. If I bend over during a workout, I just take off the headphones because I know they're going to fall out. If you put a hat on them, they will want to take it off, either because it sticks out too much or because the fit isn't very tight. I think a soft foam sleeve instead of rubber will solve this problem. I've used this style with some Shure IEM headphones and they fit and stay in place with no worries. Another issue is the sensitivity of the touch controls. Almost everything makes the right earbud respond to touch. I can't put on a hat, face mask, or adjust my right earbud without pausing or continuing. You perform the pause/resume operation with a single tap on the right earbud, but this thing likes to be constantly triggered. I think that the zone that reacts to touch is too big and reacts to every pressure. You can't even touch the outside to make it fail. With previous wireless headphones I've had, the touch had to be in the center of the earpiece so you could grab the outside and adjust without pausing. However, every time I put on a winter hat to go outside in the cold, the earplug stops and therefore it is difficult for me to understand what I heard while playing because the sensory response is constantly triggered. I really want to love these earbuds as the sound quality is head and shoulders above previous wireless earbuds. With all the interface issues they have, I guess I'll order another set of the previous headphones I had (which I only replaced because I lost my charging case).
