I need a short extension to connect a DVD burner and it works well for this purpose; However, these cables are poorly or unshielded, as soon as I started using them my wireless trackball immediately started having problems; I stopped using them and my trackball was happy again. I moved the trackball USB/RF module from the DVD burner to the other side of the computer and the trackball works quite well using the short extension on the DVD burner. It is clear that these cables are poorly shielded, if at all.
