It was softer than I expected and it's amazing! I was expecting it to be more difficult, like many silicone teethers. It's soft and flexible, which I think my baby will love when he's really teething. It's nice to have several different textures. My first preferred to chew on his natural rubber nipples when he was teething, wish I had found that fish back then! There is a slight smell, but that's normal with natural rubber and doesn't bother me at all. It will also go away over time. It rinses off easily and doesn't pick up lint/dust either, which I really appreciate. My baby loves it but he's only three months old so he doesn't need new things yet. She keeps it straight and waves it lol.
