Great portable flashlight for quick shots, wouldn't recommend for anything other than close-ups.
This product is excellent for medium-distance photography or close-up video recording. Some colors are brighter than others and difficult to achieve on subject, I would estimate the range to be just a few feet. It's a bit difficult to understand the instructions at first, but if you tinker with the remote a bit, you'll get by. Here is a photo I took with backlighting
