i aired it out during the day. i put snacks and catnip in it for my cat to walk comfortably indoors. the next day took I took it out on her for a walk around the block.About 10 minutes later she was vomiting internally (she had eaten about 4 hours by now) so we decided to turn around.When we got home she was pooping indoors too.It was a complete Mess. Now I'm not blaming the wearer for getting sick, just sharing my experience. Also, my cat is by no means a big cat, she weighs about 8 pounds and seems a little small BTW was removing the protective film very difficult as they are riveted with round openings :/ The straps are ok but definitely not very comfortable.
