For $6.99 you won't find a better Atra pen than this one. Other plastic Atra pens are typically $15-$20 and a cheap metal pen is $25-$80, and most metal pens have an easy-to-break plastic tip that you attach the cartridge to. This one has a metal tip that is harder to break. Anyone giving this pen 1 star because it's plastic is an idiot. THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION SAYS IT IS MADE OF PLASTIC, there is nothing misleading in the company description as to what this pen is made of. The average 4-cartridge razor you buy in the store costs between $7-$14, a pack of ten Atra brand cartridges costs an average of $7-$10. Even if this handle only lasts a few months, you'll still save money. I recommend buying Persona cartridges in bulk from MrZippy. They will save you a lot. I bought 100 cartridges for about $10. MrZippy is a great company with a great reputation and I will be buying all of my shaving products from now on. UPDATE: I've been wearing this pen every day for over 2 years now and haven't had any issues. I bought two of these in case one breaks and I still use the first one which still works great. I would attribute its durability to the fact that the part that attaches the pen to the cartridge is metal and not plastic like the more expensive "metal" pens that almost always use plastic for the part, attached to the cartridge. This razor handle may look cheap but it is incredibly high quality at a very reasonable price.
