It's difficult to find quality food storage containers that don't cost a lot. Our family loves these food storage containers. You will receive a pack of 24 containers with lids of 32 ounces each. Although listed as white, these containers are mostly transparent. Food containers are advertised as airtight, sealed, microwaveable, dishwasher safe, stackable and reusable. I bought these containers because they are made in the USA, which is rare to find in the food container world these days. They are also free from BPA and phthalates. These containers are made of polypropylene (polypropylene) plastic. Lids are the weak link of these containers. They seal tightly and prevent liquid from spilling out the side when you turn the container upside down. However, they do not withstand the microwave. These containers should be microwave safe, as should the lids. You should be able to vent the lid by loosening it completely, and then the lid can be reheated in the microwave. This was not my experience. The lid melted and in just a minute a burning smell came out of my microwave. I've never used any other lids in the microwave so I can't tell if I had a bad lid or if all the lids melt in the microwave. It took a long time for the burnt plastic smell to go away from my microwave, so I didn't want to try a different lid. Both container and lid are freezer safe. I keep food in these containers in the freezer for up to six months and the containers never burn through because they are very airtight. I date the bins with a black sharpie marker wrapped in clear tape on the side. What I like most about these containers is that they are all the same size and the lids are the same size. If you have ever tried to match the lids to their containers, it will be a very difficult task. With these containers you can skip this. They can also be stacked to save space in your closet. Not sure if they will replace the cap I melted or not, I threw it away and didn't even think to ask. I use these containers to store a variety of foods in both the freezer and fridge. I love that I can see through the container if it's in the fridge so I can tell if the food has gone bad. If there is mold in the bin I throw it out as it is inexpensive to replace. In the end I really like these containers. I like that they are all the same size and the lids fit all containers. Love the fact that they can be stacked and frozen and microwaved too. If the lids didn't melt in the microwave these containers would be five star containers.
