My 14 year old niece had LED lights on her wish list. I searched and grabbed it because of the length and the three rings of light. I thought with teenagers the more it was the more fun it was to light up their whole room. After getting my hands on them, I had to plug them in for "testing". Didn't want her to get an empty box. Also, I see people putting them around their TVs in their homes and kitchens. I couldn't help but try them out. I see that people need these lights. Since they were a gift I didn't want to open them or use the remote control. But I was able to use light controls (see image). I clicked on the lighting settings with no problems. The real fun started when I put it on the musical setting. The lights change color to the beat of the music and even the voice. The photo with the purple lights is a photo my niece sent me to show how she dressed them. She really loves her. So that's all I could ask of a picky teenager. They're moving soon so she didn't want to use all 3. The only downside was the smell of glue. When I turned on the light, the smell subsided. I think the glue is to help keep the light from unraveling. I ended up shutting down the dryer to help before she opened it. It must have just been me because she either didn't feel anything or didn't care because she got what she wanted. Overall, this gift was well received. Another plus is that other types of light sources can be connected to this kit. It also has a remote control and the app is easy to use.
