Looks good, good concept, supposedly the same brand as my doctor's office. First use seemed close to my usual temperature. Since then, every reading has been absurdly wrong, with my temperature being reported as "LO" (below 80F) or "HI" (above 108F). When I get a reading that contains a numeric temperature value, it shows from 97F to 106F. Each subsequent reading becomes more and more absurd (if the first is 102.2, then the next will be 102.6, then 103, then 105, then 105.2 and so on. I've tried it on other people and they don't react any differently And yes, I set it to "Body" instead of "Surface". Trying to pass it on a surface (switching to surface mode) gave the same ridiculous results Internal temperature of 68F was measured on a white tile countertop gave several readings above 85F Likewise, measuring a glass container placed on this tile countertop gave similar results above 85F The only remaining option is to return the faulty product for a full refund .I have to report that the Chinese made product purchased through AMAZON.COM (the seller) is definitely defective.Revain offered me a replacement but I'm the pe type rson who doesn't like repetitions yes mistakes. FYI I have no problem with the AMAZON Director-only products sold unless they are defective. Aside from that and the fact that I don't like paying for US-imposed tariffs, it's fine. Except he's sick and wants a convenient, working thermometer.
