Review on ATPWONZ Isolation Incubator Clownfish Aggressive by Bobby Plymell

Good functionality, poor design

I originally intended to hang this on the short side of my 29 gallon aquarium but it just wasn't big enough to fit next to the filter I had, with punched holes my top looks like this. I find this to be a very versatile setup. So if it were a few millimeters thinner it would fit. Suckers do that. Mine only fits on the inside edge. I was expecting to have to crack the lid a bit but the amount seems to be too much. I understand it's designed for many types of tanks, but as I have a standard tank it seems a few mm could be shaved off the top of the hook as again it doesn't even hold the weights properly. Dividers do not rest against the bottom of the box, so they should not be used to store french fries separately. I used one section to make sure some otocinclusses and dwarf coryrids were acclimating in the tank so I could keep an eye on them and as the kori were young they were close to making it but couldn't. With larger fish it works without problems. Assembly was easy. once the movies shut down. It's a huge pain and it took 45 minutes for this step alone between two people and it started destroying my thumbnail. Using a hair dryer didn't help at all. I was under the impression from the description that the box floats depending on the water level, but that is not the case. You have to raise it to the actual level of your tank and it doesn't budge, so I can only take 7.5 gallons of water for a water change instead of my usual 10 as that would make the water level too low for fish in it. I originally set it too low for small fish to get into the box through the upper feeding holes. It was quite difficult to lift because you had to use some tiny screws and washers and also re-tighten the suction cups. Because there are suckers. When vacuuming, the box cannot slide back and forth across the tank when trying to run a hose over the tank to suck up poop. Now that it's in, I have to put my whole hand in the water to get to the filter sponge. I really like that it's easy to photograph fish that are in a 'cheeky box' that needs to find a new home. Again, this works great if you're aware of these design flaws, but it turns out it was so easy for them to accommodate these things that I had to rate it as such.
