Review on Keyboard Microsoft Ergonomic for Business black, English by Mateusz Praga ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good product for me, no problems at all.

Another 4000 died, already the 4th in 6.5 years. Two worked for two years somewhere, two more were flooded (as a rule, they are no longer subject to restoration after that). I found out that they are no longer made, and this new series came out. Decided to order, because. over these 6 years I got used to the shape and I don’t want to go back to flat ones (those who tried it will understand). It seems that everything is normal, and the gap is better, and the buttons themselves, and the design is more modern, but damn it - they moved the service functions right to the numbers, you often get there. Some of the buttons have changed their usual location, for example, for some reason, the context menu was pushed to the left between Ctrl and wine, the hand, out of habit, presses wine, and calls the context menu. They also moved namlok, printscreen and so on, in general, be prepared to swear at first) The buttons can be configured in the software, but not all, it was also on the old series, the software is there - the same keyboard and mouse control center, only the new version will be downloaded from the site. I would love to reassign some of the buttons, such as scissors, PC lock or search, but I can’t. At best, they can only be cut down. Well, a glitch with Punto. This clave has three new media buttons that weren't there before: pre-next-track and start-pause. So, if you press them into the void and then press the pause-break (change the layout in punto) - the keyboard will give out porridge. And figs with him, just like that you won’t do it, but there are times when, for example, you type something, press the next track and the keyboard gives you a PP. In fact, pressing the button produces something that punto translates into these RRs. It happens infrequently, the TP of the switcher is already in the know, but when they decide, and whether they will decide at all, is not clear. If it directly interferes at all, these buttons themselves in the software can be reconfigured to other combinations. In the case of Spoilfay, there is software that allows you to assign a track change to the hotkeys you set and make them global. If it will strain - just reconfigure them and that's it. Whether to take this or the 4000th to look for? Given that they are no longer made, I would still start to get used to Keely)

Pros
  • Convenience, shape, ergonomics, many additional keys, modern design after the 4000th series. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons
Cons
  • Unusual when moving from the 4000 series; buggy in some applications in conjunction with a punt switcher (see comment); castrated software (not all keys can be reused, they can only be disabled, which is very strange for a product in 2022) and of course, it is desirable to know the touch typing, or at least have the desire to master it, without this, in my opinion, it’s generally a useless purchase, not only this one, but just like similar keyboards in general I put reliability in advance in a minus, because. there are already reviews that are just as afraid of water as the 4000th series .
