My daughter loves these sweatshirts. The colors are amazing. This is a lightweight material. The material is not a sweatshirt, but a very soft, comfortable fabric. My daughter is 8 years old. I bought her size 11-13 years. It fits very well. A little loose which she prefers. She wears a size 12 in most stores for brands like Justice.
