Works as advertised and immediately recognized by Windows 10 with no configuration or driver installation required. Easily reads both an old class SD card and a new class 10 micro SD card At around the same price as a USB 2.0 reader, there's no point in buying anything other than a USB 3.0 reader since it is backwards compatible with older computers that you can use. reads files over ten times faster than my USB 2.0 reader. Files appear instantly on the screen, and images and videos open at lightning speed compared to my USB 2.0. Although I haven't tried making copies yet, it reads two drives at once. So if you want to clone/copy/backup one micro SD or upgrade to a larger size, it's just a one-step process if you have a second micro SD SD adapter. With a cable of about seven (7) inches it fits me with my case on the top front 3 USB ports but if you need to connect in the back you may need an extension cord or bottom in the front it will hang out. It's better than no cable so you can hit it without damaging the connector or reader, but there are a few things to note.
