Original rating: 03/28/18 5 stars Wow. This light just arrived a few hours ago and I'm already excited. This light is compared to the lights I had before. You may be thinking that I used to have a night light on my tank. I know my plants will be happy. Most of my fish seem just as excited as I am in this light (only my night char seem fussy; let's see how they like the color blue tonight). I found my aquarium well cared for. EVERYTHING was visible in this light and it wasn't as clean as I thought it would be. I spent the last hour cleaning my tank lol. There's just one thing I have to warn you about. The light gets a little warmer. I would not recommend putting a canopy on from the tank. -- UPDATE: 08/11/18 Downgraded to 3 stars when I warned about the heat. It turns out that not only the device was heated. the toggle switch on/off/blue was also heated. Hot enough to crack the body of the mug. Trying to fix it now as a refund/replacement is too late. It doesn't look very good. Simple wiring that blew but for some reason I can't get it to work after repairing it.
