The beloved 200mm f4 Micro-Nikkor equivalent to 300mm f2.8 on Micro 4/3

As one of the previous reviewers said, it justifies buying a used Micro 4/3 case. I had already struck a deal on a used Panny GX7 and had just bought a new G9 and various M43 lenses when I discovered there were adapters to increase the speed. 300mm f2.8 lenses cost megabucks and are not designed for macro photography. I'm a fan of bugs and flowers and I loved the idea of being so far away that I don't startle the critters and they don't bite/sting me. Unless the extra two stops are absolutely necessary, I'll probably use the Panny 45-175mm f4-5.6 zoom lens, which focuses to 3ft = 0.9m and fills the sensor with a typical butterfly. Much smaller, shorter and lighter than the Nikkor Classic Macro Plus Adapter, it's just as sharp and rich in contrast, and has all autofocus, exposure and image stabilization functions built into the camera body. focuses much closer and smaller (plum sized), cheaper, lighter and just as sharp as other m43 short telephoto lenses. The fourth photo was taken with it from over a foot away and is uncropped so I don't need to officially label it as a macro lens so I can use it to hunt bugs and flowers in fairly low light. The lens cap is approximately 2.5 inches wide (fits the 52mm diameter filter ring on many Nikon lenses). Too bad I didn't sell my 300mm f4 Nikkor. The Viltrox adapter turns it into the equivalent of a 450mm f2.8.
