I ordered this for my son's 16th birthday to put on his desk. He was super excited to get it - it looks like the Big Bang Theory tissue box that he loves looking at (except the box is plastic and very durable!). The bottom is flat with a hole in the middle so it can be held with your finger and held in place with magnets. We could carry and move the box around and the bottom never fell off; So they're pretty decent magnets. The only pain point was removing all the individual clear plastic sheets on each square. We appreciate that so much care has been taken to protect the cube and that it is pristine, shiny and beautiful. That's exactly what we wanted. VERY happy with this purchase, it's definitely a talking point. There are no problems pulling the fabric through the hole, the fabric does not tear. I saw it in another review and we never had it. I think if you pull straight up there will be no problem, I wouldn't pull the fabric sideways.
