I first ordered one of these in preparation for using a twin needle (new to sewing knitwear) for the first time. I did this after about 10-15 shirts before it ripped down the middle of the hem. I couldn't find another brand in the same size so I bought more to complete my project. After putting the second one in place, I found that the needle only broke when it was close to the edge of the footer (sew straight stitch). Not sure if the breakage is caused by the needle or just the way the machine hits the footer, but it's the only needle I have on my year old machine (used semi regularly) is broken. no more break
