Review on Storkcraft Glider Ottoman Cherry Chenille by Nathan Hutchinson

Comfortable but squeaky

Below was my first review. This was written while I was still pregnant. Now that our son is 11 months old my review has changed. If I could give this glider negative 5 stars I would. It's terrible. The only thing that helps against the creaking is silicone WD 40, which has to be replaced every 1-2 weeks. I've retightened all the screws several times, but to no avail. And if it's not the creaking of stupid screws, there's something else that's making an annoying noise that keeps my baby awake, like the creaking and crunching of plastic pillows or the clicking of a random piece of wood. Also, the seat is too small front-to-back and side-to-side for my child to comfortably fit in my lap or arms. Most nights I dream of taking an ax to an unfortunate cause. Regardless of the additional cost of buying a glider from Toys R Us or Buy Buy Baby, it's definitely worth it. I like this glider very much. It was very easy to assemble. (I was able to easily assemble it myself when I was 7 months pregnant.) Overall, it's very convenient. In fact, for me, 9 months pregnant, this is the most comfortable place in the house. The only criticism is the loud creaking. However, two liberal sprays of WD-40 on all joints seem to have solved the problem for now. Also, the back is on the shorter side. But for my husband and I it is perfect. (Posted under my husband's account.)

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Almost everything is there
