Some people say this device doesn't work; I don't know if you got broken ones or just don't know what to expect from an ionizer, but I can tell you about my work. I know what a working ionizer feels like and smells like, so I plugged it in and immediately approached it and sniffed it. Not only did I smell negative ions, I felt bad after a minute or two, which is a risk when using ionizers. Their proper functioning is related to the release of ozone (you actually feel that when they work) and exposure to too much ozone can cause health problems (I didn't realize that when I did my little test). This is not a sign against this device; That I felt it after walking up to it and sniffing the ozone (not a very smart move on my part I think) just proves that what I got is working. I'm also more sensitive to various physical stimuli than many people, so what makes me uncomfortable probably won't have the same effect on most people. Moderate exposure to negative ions/ozone is good; Running water releases negative ions, which is the main reason waterfalls are so exciting. As with all ionizers, you should use it sparingly and no more than necessary. But 4WDKING does good things in general, and assuming the device you receive has no flaws, it will deliver what it promises. I've only used it for a few hours so I can't speak about it. Durability but it did a good job removing food odors from my car. I'm more or less a vegetarian and I drive DoorDash so I bought this device primarily to remove meat odors and other bad food smells from my car and it seems to help. Not all cigarette lighter sockets (and things designed to be used in them) are created equal, so I can't know how they'll perform in other people's cars, but while some other inexpensive devices have shown a problem, at least that's it one person has been reported leaving this device unplugged. Stays in place and works great in the cigarette lighter socket on my 2019/10 Honda Accord. generation, even when driving on bumpy roads. One person spoke of a metal structure, although in fact all the external parts of this device are made of plastic. But the grille at the working end is chrome-plated and can easily be mistaken for metal. The blue light is quite bright but matches the blue factory lights in my car perfectly and doesn't distract me at all; actually quite cute. In summary, based on my limited experience, I would say this one is worth trying if you are looking for an effective air purifier for your car.
