This is a very strange shade of bright yellow faux sheepskin, so no, it doesn't look like the picture. It's more of a dirty ferret color. The only good thing about this case is that the quilted side is pretty nice. I have no idea if yellow paint will run on faux fur. Maybe not wash with something white. To be honest, I don't think this item is worth the price. I give him a maximum of four months with my German shepherd. If it lasts longer, I'll be thrilled. UPDATE: I washed it. The son complained that it smelled like rat urine. And he would know, considering he has a pet rat. Washing the blanket not only improved its smell, but also the texture of the fur itself. It's still an odd shade of yellow. You can see the texture and color compared to my real sheepskin. The real sheepskin under the rear seat cover is natural beige unlike the one I bought here. A light wash removed the yellow dye's stiffness (thank goodness). At least it looks and feels closer to reality now.
