The ice crushing function convinced me!

Welcome to the 21st century! I didn't have a food processor and I know it's just a mini version. I also had an immersion blender, but it was only 200 watts and quite loud (this one is 300). I've mainly used it for pureed soups so I don't have to take out a large blender. Then I decided I REALLY like frozen drinks and started using the only knife that came with it (the old one) to chop up ice and frozen fruit mixed with rum to make it delicious. frozen drinks. This blade wasn't really meant for all that frozen work, so it started to work rather than shred as well. I was looking for an inexpensive hand blender that could also crush ice. Well it's really the only one I've found for a reasonable price. With all the other investments, he just can't be beat! I started with ice that was already crushed in the fridge to be even easier on the blades, but if your fridge doesn't have that option, whole cubes will work just as well. I then put it in a mini food processor jar with an ice crushing blade, and in a few seconds the ice is crushed enough to use as is in snack cone cups and just drizzle with sno cone syrup. . Meanwhile add other ingredients; frozen berries, rum, flavors in a large glass. The rum will partially thaw the berries. Then simply add the required amount of ice chips to a glass and stir quickly with a regular blade on a dipstick. Since the ice is already crushed, it takes less than a minute. If you don't need a large amount and just want to clean up, this works great. It makes about 24 ounces of delicious frozen daiquiri. The only thing to clean is the glass and the dive knife, the job is smaller and faster than if you could get your hands on a large glass blender. I want easy cleaning! What I also tried in addition to the puree soups: I made Egg Benedict Sauce Hollandaise with a whisk. My previous hand blender only had one blade, so I used that, but the included whisk attachment works better and really is a lot closer to the right tool for the job, so I made a blended olive tapenade with a food processor attachment, and another time In the same bowl, I shredded the leftover raw steak into a hamburger. Oh, and I also used a food processor to grind the vanilla wafers into crumbs for custard pie crusts. Much easier than putting them in a ziplock bag and trying to crush them with a rolling pin (or bottle of wine if I can't find a rolling pin!). It worked great! The only thing I don't like a bit. have: First, the color. Personally, I like a deep apple caramel red, although it doesn't blend that well with the rest of the kitchen. But it would be nice if it could be offered in a few other colors, maybe black and silver or something more neutral. But not everything is so critical. Second, the hand blender's "stick" (the long metal handle that goes into the bowl) feels a little light and flimsy. I've had the Cuisinart Smart Stick for a few weeks and it's become more durable. But it hasn't been a problem so far and I think as long as I don't have an accident with it like dropping it on the floor or hitting someone hard on the head with it (just kidding) it will be fine. .
