I couldn't decide between DJI Osmo Mobile 3 and Smooth Q2. I bought DJI last week and while it's great, I felt the movements were limiting. After seeing the reviews on it I just had to get it and try it! Smooth Q2 is definitely better. Better motors, better movement, better build quality. I also like that unlike DJI, you don't need an app to switch modes. A few things I don't like about the Q2 (but I can live with that): - My phone's main lens only picks up the motor. a little. Happens only in photo mode, so I'm fine with that. I can move the phone backwards a bit (making the phone a little unbalanced) and the motor is able to take up the slack. However, you will feel a subtle vibration. The ZyPlay app is not yet optimized. The tracking is terrible. But other modes are good. The Smooth Q2 fits perfectly in your pocket. Although I'm not a pro I find this stabilizer is great for beginners too as it's easy to learn. The only thing I like about DJI is the active tracking. Very helpful and fast, hopefully Smooth Q2 Tracking will be updated/optimized. Too bad the Smooth q2 comes with a case/carrying case! Generally satisfied with Q2. Definitely worth bringing back the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 and using instead.
