I have a small kitchen and the table is PERFECT. It's not big enough to slide a chair under while seated (unless you're a kid), but I agree with that. It's big enough for two people to have lunch, which is what I wanted. IMPORTANT INSTALLATION TIPS. Do not overtighten the screws as you will need slack to adjust and align the screw holes. Case in point: you will have EXTREME difficulty adding a countertop and aligning the screw holes IF the stud screws are tightened. The screws should be tight enough to hold the parts together, but DO NOT TIGHTEN. Once the top is screwed in, THEN fully tighten ALL BOLTS with an allen wrench. Same goes for the chairs: once everything is assembled, fully tighten EVERYTHING. I did something wrong on a chair and the part holding the cushion was facing the wrong way. TIP for chairs: attach the top cushion first (do not tighten the screws to add the seat). Following these tips will make assembly easier and save you the hassle of disassembling (like I had to :-).
