I bought this for my 10 year old daughter for her birthday because she doesn't like to style her hair but likes to wear an elastic band when needed. I have a similar one for myself because I know wearing rubber bands around your wrist is not good. She loves it and she loves what's engraved on it. It's a bit big for her, although my husband was able to bend it a bit and close the gap a bit. She's taller (taller) than most kids her age, but she has fairly thin wrists. I would say that this cuff would probably be too big for someone much smaller than the average 10 year old.
