I bought 4 of these, 3 as gifts and one for myself. The size of the ball is slightly smaller than the size of a croquet ball. It has substantial weight to it and the glass is perfectly clear. The stand is beautiful and looks very stately. The colors I bought were green, which is a bit darker than pictured, light blue, which is more of a teal color, the dark cobalt blue, which is as pictured and the purple, which is more of a light pinkish lavender. Even though the colors were a bit different than I expected, I am still happy with them. The recipients absolutely loved them, so it was a winning purchase. Since they can't be put in direct sunlight due to fire hazard, it is a bit difficult to find the right spot to display the clear, bright beauty of the glass. I find myself picking up the ball and just gently moving it about in my hand almost every time I go past it. It feels wonderful.
