I am a professional captain of a private sport fishing boat. I take my personal gear very seriously. I recently bought a pair of Tamiami PFG moccasins. I have just returned from my first sea voyage in them and am extremely unhappy with the grip of the soles on the boat's deck surfaces. I kept slipping all weekend and nearly fell off the boat due to lack of traction. I will not wear new shoes that I just spent close to $100 on because I know it's only a matter of time before I get seriously injured or worse wearing them.
