I didn't want to spend money on Sigma brush cleaning mats/gloves yet so I decided to do this. I didn't like it at first, and as always I was more willing to clean the brushes by hand. But after the third time I figured out which groves to use for which brushes. I mostly stick to criss-cross and focused spot work. Also, no matter how well it works with my Sigma precision brushes and small blending brushes and even flat top foundation and buffing brushes, the surface is too small for big and fluffy powder brushes. If you already have a good brush cleaner, using it is much easier and less time consuming than using your hand or a towel. I was never able to completely strip my Sigma F80 of base color, so I figured it would be blotchy forever. But somehow it helped get rid of the last bit of paint.
