Review on Canon PowerShot A3400 IS 16 Camera & Photo by Bob Larson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The best camera I've ever had.

This is by far one of the best cameras I've ever bought (and I've bought a lot of cameras, each costing a bit more. The battery life is really good, although sadly it requires a proprietary battery Image quality is excellent and most settings can be adjusted, despite the point and shoot feature Oddly where this camera really shines is in video capture Contrast is fantastic and works well even in low light ".Frame rates are smooth and clarity is excellent. Even the sound is good, but the biggest features on video are macro and stabilization. Shots are silky smooth, even with handshakes, and the detail that can be captured with a macro isn't as good big world The touchscreen isn't that great but I don't really use it as the menus are just as easy to navigate are using buttons. f The eel is very comfortable to hold and appears to be very durable, although I wouldn't dare drop it anyway. It even supports SD cards up to 32GB (maybe more, but the biggest I have is 32). It all boils down to the fact that if it ever breaks or gets lost/stolen, I won't hesitate to buy a new one.

Pros
  • There's something there
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model
