I have had a wand for many years and only one refill - which I have used more than once, couldn't find in stores so now have a backup (refills) , but I still keep and reuse pads - until they stop washing or they have more dirt on them than they do. Washing windows outside is not my favorite activity, it makes it so much easier than walking up/down stairs and saves muscle training for something else.
