The problem with these bulbs is they will not fit ALL 1156 cartridges - I had to modify them all to work with the 1994 Corvette C4 backup light system - Chevy- Plastic cartridges tucked high up where the metal part of the lamp is, in other words the actual glass lamp 1156 is narrow at the base, and they widen in diameter just past the metal part. I had to sand the board all the way around the lamp to allow it to be fully seated in the socket. I also had to use a step drill to expand the plastic part in diameter. So note that this is not a direct connector for a 1156 lamp application. The price was right and not worth a refund just because of the installation issue.
