Didn't buy the company but bought a second Topping EX5 for my main stereo. I went down the route of using a balanced jack for all the stereo components in my living room. This time I turned black. So far so good with the EX5 with Apogee Acoustics Stages. Living well is a must! Excellent DAC. A great deal even if you don't use it to power your headphones. [Original review by Silver EX5] I've been listening to a few songs encoded at 192kHz at 24bit. In fact, there is more to be gained from digital music than from CDs. Really stunning in terms of soft background and extended highs. I've seen several derogatory comments about the Topping EX5. At the moment I don't have an FFT analyzer, not even an oscilloscope. I'm a bit of a jazz musician though, and my ears miraculously survived. Using Hifiman Sundara phones with New Fantasia balanced cables. Highly recommended to all! Unless you can afford anything you want.
