I bought one of these outdoor cat beds for the summer. She has a heated cat house for the winter, but I wanted her to be comfortable in the warmer months. She didn't want to live inside. The only problem is that we live in the Smoky Mountains and the mountain clay wasn't suited to a light gray bed. I washed it all the time. I bought her a brown bed and put the other one in. The other cats started fighting over the bed so I bought 3 more grays...now they are all happy and know which one is theirs...no fights. We have a huge fireplace and the beds are arranged next to the hearth.
