Why didn't I buy these sooner? Well because I thought it would be noisy and it would look like I was sleeping on plastic. However, there is no noise with this mattress topper, and the top lining is so soft that I didn't need sheets (but I used them). I also kept the top of the sheet submerged as soon as I got it and the water immediately disappeared. It was magical! I bought this for my two little ones but found I had to use it all the time because my husband got sick this week and was sweating all night. So rude! Children or not - get them now to protect against sweat and dead skin. I order a queen, king and twin for different beds and love that they are labeled. Care instructions were also included in the package. I'm a happy customer.
