Surprisingly Good: Headphones

I just received the headphones so these are kind of preliminary comments on the product. Honestly I was skeptical about the comments with so many five stars because I thought most of the reviews were fake. But for the price, I just took a chance and ordered them. And it arrived 20 minutes ago and my first impression is positive. First the sound quality. It's a bit on the bass side, there's plenty of bass in these small headphones, surprisingly more bass than you'd ever expect. As a result, however, there is a lack of "crunchiness", the highs are a little lost in this powerful bass. But I think I can live with that. The iPhone's equalizer doesn't seem to affect the sound coming out of the headphones, so you'll have to live with that bassy sound. But you can still clearly hear the hi-hats or cymbals in the music. I just miss a little more highs in the sound. But your miles may vary. It doesn't interfere or distort. With other headphones, I usually turn the volume up to the limit, the cell phone even shows a decay over possible ear damage, but with these headphones, almost half the volume is enough for me. Turning up the volume doesn't distort anything, but the bass is very high throughout the sound. Some might even like it. Next is the noise cancellation, it's very good, I'm in a crowded coffee shop and there's a game on TV, but when I start playing music (at half volume on the phone) I hear nothing but music. Even when the music isn't loud (just a guitar or just a piano playing (like one of Chopin's Preludes) I hear almost nothing from the TV, but mainly music. I can even hear the breath of a pianist listening to me never heard it. At the time of writing this review Pink Floyd's Numb is being played comfortably from a mixed playlist and the bass is ideal, the treble is still a little lacking but every instrument is very easy to hear. I can't hear it outside, despite of the very loud TV in the coffee shop, wearing it while walking or cycling can even be dangerous because you may miss a warning sound (e.g. a car horn) while listening to your favorite music my head bangs like crazy (some are looking at me curiously) you don't even move my ears tomorrow I'll walk around with headphones, if anything I'll update the rating w. In general I talk about them very satisfied (at least a half hour in the ears). If the claims are true, I expect good battery life. Pairing is instant, you just take them out of the charger, they go into pairing mode and on the phone you click on the headphones name in the Bluetooth menu. That's all. I'd heartily recommend them, they're cheaper than the competition and (oh one of the teams scored and I only heard a few pops :)) the sound quality, comfort and noise cancellation are above average. When I watch soccer games in cafes, I usually use Bose QC20 headphones, but these headphones can easily replace them. I think Bose is still king for air travel, but the noise-cancellation makes little difference in these cases. And I assure you this is not a fake review :) EDIT: I found the equalizer in Spotify (home/settings/playback/eq) and was able to customize the sound to my liking, but for podcasts (in stellar talk, Neil deGrasse Tyson's voice is so deep I can hear it in my brain) I bought the Equ app, it can play iTunes music (or podcasts) without importing, and you can easily adjust bass, mid and treble, so that's the problem solved. The sound quality is now exactly what I wanted. EDIT 2: I went to the gym yesterday and tried them for jumping rope and running, they worked well, didn't fall out of my ear and I can listen to my favorite music. I connected it to my laptop, there is very little lag, but it's not distracting when watching a video. You can hardly tell the lips are slightly out of sync. Much better than I expected. If the device doesn't fail in the future I will keep them :) EDIT 3: I discovered a new feature, I hooked it up to my phone and computer. When my computer isn't on, the headphones connect to my phone, but when I want to watch a movie or do something on my computer, I turn off the bluetooth on my phone and they automatically connect to my computer. So there is no need to repair the headphones. By the way, if you press and hold the button on the right earbud for 3 seconds, the track will be skipped and the next song will be played, and if you press the button on the left earbud for 3 seconds instead, it will go to the previous song which starts current song from the beginning. So you practically can't play the previous song. However, if you use headphones while wearing your Apple Watch, you can easily manage your playlist from your watch.
