Here is the overall rating: Overall - A solidly made bed and a good size. The biggest plus is stability, and the biggest minus is the slightly rough edges of the beams. Details: Durability: This bed is very well made - that's the most important part. My daughter sometimes asks her mother to lie down with her and surprisingly this bed can withstand such a weight. Assembly: For someone used to arranging IKEA furniture, this was easy. It comes with its own set of screws and stuff, but it's pretty easy to install. Exterior: The bed looks pretty nice with stickers and all. The parts are made of plastic, I can live with that. The height is good for small children. The biggest issue I have is that the steel beams that make up the frame are exposed on either side of the bed. While it does not prevent the child from getting up or lying down, since it is open there is a chance that it will scratch the child's leg. I also recommend buying a good mattress that goes well with this bed.
