Review on Panasonic PV-GS29 MiniDV Camcorder: 30x Optical Zoom (Discontinued Model) by David Lambert

Just received so I'm not an expert yet. First impressions: -Easy to use, I didn't have to read the manual (just the first few pages so as not to ruin the battery) -Very good quality in low light Good zoom (30x) that allows you to shoot from a long distance Film quality: very good, but since it's my first camcorder I don't have any comparison parameters, so I'll buy a second one for my pocket just in case. Interface: It doesn't have a USB port, but it does have a FireWire port, so I can download straight to my computer. Another option I explored was to connect it to my Samsung DVR-120 DVD burner where I loaded my movie and burned it straight to DVD-R. It has other options that I don't know about yet. When I start using them I will update my review. I recommend it to any beginner or people who need a quick solver for birthday parties and car rides. I suppose it's no match for these high-performance 3CCD units, but I wasn't expecting more either: a great first camcorder.
