I bought this because I was desperate. My toddler, about 18 months old, loves getting out of the crib/putting his face on the floor. I was struggling to find a way to prevent this and stumbled across this little gem. This sleeping bag keeps baby safe and comfortable in bed without injury. It's lightweight and will keep baby warm during the winter months. I haven't tried it in the summer, although I expect the baby to be fine since we use air conditioning at home. I ordered the XL based on the size chart, but quickly realized that it was too big for a child. For 18-19 month olds, the letter L is probably best. The baby is 31.5 inches tall and weighs 26.5 pounds. Size XL does not fall off the child's shoulders, which I feared. It's quite roomy, I wouldn't trade it for a size smaller, although I would buy a size smaller to start with.
