I got this monitor for its resolution (UHD 4k) and Thunderbolt support. It connects and powers to my Macbook, but the advertised USB to USB-A hub and stereo jack to make it a docking station monitor don't work with the computer. The manual covers enabling this feature at the hardware level, but this is beyond the scope of most average computer owners. It's a great screen in terms of resolution, but its brightness pales in comparison to that of your laptop's Retina display.
