We love our shelter dog! From an abandoned homeless man with bad teeth to a full member of a large family (parents and 4 children under 8), our pup needed to stay fit and strong to keep up with our active lifestyles. We tried different ways. Brands for our cute Boxer and Rottweiler mix and we've noticed a few things. As soon as we tried the Blue Buffalo brand, their scales and rough, thick coat changed. There were no more scales and her fur was softer and SHINY BRILLIANT! I didn't want to pay that price, so we switched to the Costco brand. Bad mistake. Within a week her fur became dull again and not as soft. I apologized to her and our family, and my husband quickly signed up for a monthly batch of brown rice and blue buffalo lamb. Since our dog joined our family (for over 2 years) we have found that he has terrible reactions to certain foods. Food. She can't just have dog treats. She will have vomiting, diarrhea and sometimes face/throat tremors (scary!). She wants clean food with quality ingredients and no random fillers. She never got sick when on a pure Blue Buffalo diet. That alone makes us big fans and regular customers of Blue Buffalo. And even though she had to have her bad teeth removed (all 12 front incisors, top and bottom), she can enjoy this dry food mixed warm. water and allow time to soak. We love our pup! And we love the Blue Bison!
