Hello. The fan was easy to install and the remote worked right out of the box. I had trouble connecting it to my wifi so I could use the Emerson app and Alexa. I worked on it for about an hour and couldn't connect. I'll explain why so you can save some time. I have xfinity and it uses both 5.0 and 2.4GHz. xfinity automatically decides which device connects to which network. This fan only works on a 2.4 network and xfinity can't figure it out. To solve this I created two different WiFi networks, one 5.0 and the other 2.4 (xfinity said not to do this. What do you know). I used a 2.4 network to connect the fan and surprisingly it worked. Now I really like the fan. It looks good and cools my room slightly. (16 x 20 feet). With the Emerson app, you can turn it on and off, change the fan speed, and dim the lights. Alexa works with the same functions as the app. Good. Things!
