I know it's a bit expensive, I think about all other brands, before you buy this device, try a big jambox, but the sound was a little weak, explode Do not distort the jambox 70%. I wish the Bose battery life was better. With 1/2 power, you can get 5-6 hours of maximum power. Full power maybe 4. One problem with this device, sometimes it won't sync with your bluetooth devices. You must manually reset your Bose speaker and clear its memory to sync it with any device. Just press the mute button for 10 seconds and the device will be restored to factory settings, after which you can sync with Bluetooth devices. The unit had no music unless you were too far from the unit. 25 feet and still works even if you are in different rooms. The device needs some kind of volume indicator as you have no idea how loud the device is. The sound sometimes sounds a bit flat, but this can be corrected with an equalizer. The sound is loud enough for a house party. If you don't want to spend $300, the $100 Soundfreaq Sound is actually pretty good. They don't get as loud, but for 1/3 the price it's great for any small space.
