I bought this twister for bangs not hair and it is very noisy. I can't imagine using this thing next to my ears. You also need three hands to hold the twister and load the yarn (or hair). At the end of the day it ruffles the fringes, but with the hassle, noise, and expense, it's quicker and a lot quieter to do it by hand!
