I'm not a down expert but this stuff looks good. I took apart another 2 lb duvet and added another 14 ounces to make a bottom duvet for my hammock. This material is much thicker and fluffier than the material that was originally in the comforter. The other down, even after fluffing, only filled about 1/4 of the septum and had feathers. This filled the other 3/4 and I didn't see a single feather. I wasn't sure judging by the reviews, but I think, like everything else, some packages are good and some aren't. I will be buying another bag as I have another blanket that I will be turning into a winter camping blanket.
