I was very happy to get the new Surface Pro, especially with the claimed 13 hour battery life! Unfortunately, this is far from true. I surf the web and use Excel for about 5 hours which is quite disappointing. However, here are some other pros and cons based on multiple weeks of use. Pros: 1. Well built. No complaints here. Sturdy construction, metal parts.2. The case is pretty good. This is quite comparable to the keyboard on my last laptop.3. The surface pen is excellent. Ideal for taking notes, drawing. Cons: 1. Battery life. The main reason I got this was so I could make it a full time, but it really isn't enough. 2. Had to pay extra $110 for the pen. It's disgusting that you spend so much on this thing and still have to shell out a pen.3. Surprisingly slow even for routine tasks like surfing the web. I tried surfing on Zillow and was impressed by how slow and unresponsive it was. Conclusion: I really regret the purchase. I think I'll return it and consider the iPad Pro or just pick up the laptop again.
