Review on πŸƒ G4Free Hydration Pack: Sports Runner Backpack with 3L Bladder, Ideal for Running, Hiking, Cycling, and Biking by Mark Howard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So far things are looking good.

My expectations were definitely met and exceeded. I bought it to take short (5-8) hikes. Holds my raincoat (I live in Florida after all), IFAK, snacks, extra socks, etc. I filled my bladder to check for leaks but it came out sealed pretty well. My only complaint, albeit a small one, with the bladder is the attachment of the hose. It does not snap into place, but is simply placed on the nipple of the hydration bladder. This can be problematic. If that's a problem, I just replace it with a spare bladder I have in my extra gear stack. Seems to be a good product for the price. After a decent hike, I'll update the info on its performance. Edit 7/18/16 After several hikes from 6 to 12 miles, I've made a few observations: 1) The bladder works very well, no leaks. . However, the mouthpiece is not very good. I just take it off to get good water flow. 2) The hydration bladder is basically in a smaller pocket in the main compartment with no insulator between it and your gear. The water heats up very quickly. I solved the problem by making an insulated Mylar bag for him. Works well, keeps my drink frosty longer. 3) The shoulder straps could use a little more padding. I added the part of the spare plate holder. 4) I want the part that goes to your back to be ventilated with mesh. It will definitely help you cool down a bit. Overall, this package is worth the money, even with a few observations I made about it. I definitely have no reluctance to buy and would recommend it.
