I have three adorable Scottish Fold cats and I try very hard to feed them the best I can! Their breeder recommended a raw food diet, which they have been eating since weaning. I gladly agreed and bought a meat grinder. I've been shredding ducks, chickens, turkeys and rabbits for her for over a year. You get raw food 1-2 times a day and dry bites to chew throughout the day. I still want to feed them mostly raw, but I don't always have the time or energy to grind up food for them. On those crazy days when I just can't, I want to be able to reach the pantry and get them something healthy and nutritious that won't upset their stomachs without a slow transition and that's delicious, so are they ready to EAT it. I've tried several brands (Royal Canin, Wilderness Blue Buffalo, Fancy Feast, Friskies, etc.) with different flavors and textures. Nothing matched the bill. Some brands and flavors they would only eat if they were starving. Some would only eat one or two of them. Some weren't even touched. One of them caused diarrhea in all three cats within a few days, causing a big mess in the automatic bowls. The first day this food arrived, I dropped a can in her bowl for dinner that night. It had a great texture and was very moist. It smelled like fish, but delicious. There was a fair amount of oil in the sauce. All three cats came running. They took turns finishing the can. It was very promising and I went to bed with my fingers crossed lest I wake up the next morning with a huge mess in the trays. Guess what? Everything was in order! The second night all three cats sat by their bowl and just looked at me. They never did. I grabbed the second can as soon as I opened it.
