I returned this product because my toddler fell a few times trying to stand on it. The design is not that of a traditional stool where the base (legs) are wider than the top. So if your child accidentally steps on it without standing exactly in the middle, the stool will tip over if you press too hard. Overall it was a beautiful tree, but the safety of the fall was not assured. My child actually banged his head against the wall and almost knocked his teeth out when he got too close to the edge of the chair (intending to brush his teeth) and rolled over. The top is wider than the base. It has a small lip and of course toddlers can step on the edge of the chair. My own foot absorbs all of this, so it's less of a problem for adults than it is for children. However, it is actually a very small children's stool.
